What I Do
Concept design
I focus on concept design in both urbanism, architecture and interior projects, covering the total creative spectrum. I attend regulary in archtitectural design competitions like Budapest Student City – Big Market Hall and its surroundings and last time Tartu Downtown Cultural Centre Architecture Competition.
Research
I endeavor to integrate research-based strategies in design as in 2020 I finished my PhD studies at Budapest University of Technology, Department of Urban Planning and Design. My dissertation focused on the period of 1954, building and regeneration of large housing estates in Budapest. From this year I am curator of Hungarian Contemporary Architecture Centre where I am going to hold researcher support in Budapest100, ’70-es évek.
Detailed design
In my experiences detailing is deeply creative. Design has thresholds only in contracts and not in the creative flow. In the last 2 years at DVM group, as the concept designer of the project, I supervised remotely an office design and construction project in a foreign country and finished a detailed interior project related to a historical building based on Budapest.
Graphic design
Research and data visualisation is especially interweaving. Therefore I investigated a great deal on acquiring digital graphics skills. I’m interested in graphic design tasks in which design, research and visualisation need to be highly connected like the visulisation of my architectural dissertation or DVM Discovery toolkit needed indeed. Besides I also do editorial work.
